177 Mortgages the award winning fee-free mortgage broker has made several changes to strengthen its senior leadership team.
Kevin Brown has been promoted to Managing Director. Kevin was previously Compliance and Operations Director and has worked at 177 Mortgages for 11 years. In his new role, Kevin will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business. Allowing founder and CEO Alastair McKee to focus on the long-term strategy and growth of the company.
Deirdre Lee has been promoted to Director of People. Deirdre was previously Head of People and has worked with 177 Mortgages for 10 years. Her new responsibilities will include defining and embedding the company’s new culture for its planned growth.

The final change sees the appointment of Lisa Burns-Kent in the newly created role of New Build Business Development Director. She was previously a Sales Director within the new-build industry where she has worked for more than 20 years. Lisa joined 177 Mortgages in November 2022 and has been recruited to develop and grow 177 Mortgages’ new build proposition. Working with new build developers across the country to achieve their goal of becoming one of the largest new build mortgage and protection brokers in the UK.
Kevin said “The new build market is key to our growth strategy and the appointment of Lisa into this Senior Management role demonstrates this. Her experience and knowledge of this area will add real value to the Senior Management team and help shape the expansion for us in this area.”
The changes are designed to strengthen its market position and allow the business to attain its substantial growth plans for the next four years.
