Deirdre began her career in the property industry in 1998 with Allen & Harris Estate Agents, where she worked as a Sales Co-Ordinator and gained invaluable insight into the property purchase process. In 2001, she joined London & Country Mortgages, where she trained and qualified as a Mortgage & Protection Adviser. During her time at L&C, Deirdre progressed from advising clients to successfully managing her own team of case managers. This experience highlighted her strengths in operations, systems, and customer support, while also developing strong people management and leadership skills.
With a background in both advising and operations, Deirdre has a comprehensive understanding of client needs alongside regulatory and compliance requirements. This enables her to design and implement processes while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer outcomes.
Deirdre joined 177 Mortgages in 2012 as its first employee, playing a key role in building and shaping the operational backbone of the business. Since then, she has remained central to the development of processes that ensure a smooth, efficient, and stress-free experience for both clients and employees.
Now Director of People, Deirdre continues to lead on refining systems, designing clear and effective operational frameworks, and ensuring all processes align with regulatory expectations. Alongside this, she remains focused on supporting team development and maintaining the high-quality service standards the business is known for.
Outside of work, Deirdre enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and making the most of holidays in the sun whenever she gets the chance.
